Manganese copper alloy resistance alloy 0.134mm in stock 10kg price
Common name:Manganin- wire,Manganina 43, is a copper-manganese-nickel alloy (CuMnNi alloy) for use at room temperature.
The alloy is characterized by very low thermal electromotive force (emf) compared to copper.
The most prominent feature of manganese copper wire is its excellent performance combination:
1. Extremely low temperature coefficient of resistance
This is its most important feature. Within a certain temperature range around room temperature (about 20 ° C), the resistance value changes very little with temperature. This means that when the ambient temperature fluctuates, the resistance of the manganese copper wire remains almost unchanged, thus providing stable and accurate resistance values.
2. Good long-term stability
After appropriate heat treatment (annealing) and aging treatment, the internal structure of manganese copper alloy is very stable, and its resistance value changes very little over many years of use.
3. Low thermoelectric potential for copper
When manganese copper wire is connected to copper wire, the thermoelectric potential (thermoelectric potential) generated at the joint is very low. This is crucial for precise measurement, as it can avoid measurement errors introduced by thermoelectric potential.
4. Good mechanical performance and processability
It has sufficient strength and toughness to be pulled into very fine wires and wound into various shapes of resistive elements.
Based on the above characteristics, manganese copper wire is mainly used to manufacture various high-precision resistors and measuring components:
1. Standard resistor
Used as a reference and standard for resistance in laboratories and metrology institutions. Require extremely accurate and stable resistance values.
2. Shunt
Used to expand the range of an ammeter. Make a known small resistor (shunt resistor) of manganese copper wire and connect it in parallel at both ends of the ammeter. Most of the current will flow through this resistor, thus indirectly measuring high current by measuring the voltage on the resistor. Due to its low temperature coefficient, the measurement results are less affected by current heating.
3. Precision resistor components
Used as the core sampling and voltage divider resistor in high-precision instruments such as multimeters, bridges, and potentiometers.
4. Shunt resistor
In electronic circuits, it is used in situations where precise current measurement is required, such as power management, output current detection of power amplifiers, etc
