2.4668/ UNS N07718 /GH4169 bright bars used for aerospace Industry
Common names: Alloy 718 , UNS N07718, W Nr 2.4668, Inconel718, GH4169
Product Overview of Inconel 718:
Inconel718 precipitation sclerosis type of molybdenum alloy containing niobium, nichrome, under 650 ºC has high strength, good toughness and has good corrosion resistance in high and low temperature environment. Delivery status can be a solid solution treatment or precipitation hardening state.
You can find below Characters of Inconel 718:
(1) good workability, in the state of annealing;
(2) good tensile strength, fatigue strength, creep rupture strength;
(3) when up to 700°C, has good high-temperature strength;
(4) when up to 1000°C, has good oxidation resistance;
(5) At low temperature with excellent mechanical properties;
(6)After the performance of arc welding, no welding crack sensitivity
The alloy is widely used in the Oil and Gas and chemical production industries on account of its high strength and resistance to chlorides, stress corrosion and sulphide stress cracking.
Applications include valve trim, pump shafts and down-hole components.
Alloy 718 is also used in jet engine and high-speed airframe parts such as wheels, spacers and buckets plus high-temperature bolts and fasteners, although more commonly supplied against the AMS 5662/AMS5663 aerospace standards rather than API 6CRA for this application.
